Made by students who have a test on Friday too.
Your class notes, a reading, or a photo of a printed page.
You see every card it made, and every line it wasn’t sure about.
Right before you’d forget it, so it sticks by test day.
Not to start. Paste your notes and study them right away. After your first round Machi.study asks whether you want a free account, which keeps your progress and lets you make more sets. You can say not now and keep studying.
Yes. Every study mode is unlocked, there is no trial, no card is asked for and nothing expires. Advertising pays for it, and there are no ads on any screen where you are answering a question. Read the terms.
ChatGPT can explain things and write answers. It cannot take your test. Machi.study turns your own class notes into cards, brings each one back right before you would forget it, and gives you practice problems with checked answers, so on the day you know it yourself.
Only on your own material: turning notes or a reading you paste into cards, writing Build an answer questions from your cards, and writing practice problems on a topic Machi.study has no built-in problems for, which are marked as made by AI. Only that text is sent to DeepInfra, a US company that runs the AI, and nothing else about you is. If the AI is not available, Machi.study makes your cards with its own rules instead. The built-in problems are written by code, so their answers are checked. What we store.
Machi.study does not read handwriting yet. Printed pages work with Snap a page. For handwriting, Machi.study gives you a prompt to paste into any AI along with a photo of your notes, and you paste the result back in.
Yes. Type a topic like stoichiometry, molar mass or slope, and Machi.study writes practice problems with worked steps and a hint. On the topics Machi.study has built in, every answer is checked by code. On any other topic, AI writes the problems and marks them, so you know to check.
It splits into ma and chi. Chi, written 知, means knowing, or the ability to think; it is the chi in Japanese names like 真知, “true knowing”.
You need to be 13 or older to make an account.
No. Your sets are yours, and nothing about one student is ever shown to another: no leaderboards, no class rankings and no comparing what anybody knows.

No account needed. Your first set is ready in seconds.
